・✦・The Wahy has been clarified in detail and is void of Dhann・✦・
Allah has told us in the Qur’an that the Wahy has been clarified in detail, leaving no room and no need for speculation, doubts, personal opinions, or dependence on the statements of fallible people after the messenger.
Allah said:
“Alif-Lam-Ra. This is a Book whose verses are well perfected and then fully
explained...”
[Surah Hud Ayah 1]
“Thus We explain the Ayat in detail for people who have knowledge”
[Surah al-A'raf Ayah 32]
“...He has explained to you in detail what is forbidden for you…”
[Surah al-An’am ayah 119]
“We have sent down to you the Book as an explanation of everything, and as a guidance, mercy, and glad tidings for the Muslimin”
[Surah al-Nahl Ayah 89]
“Never was it a narration invented, but a confirmation of what was before it and a detailed explanation of all things and guidance and mercy for a people who believe.”
[Surah Yusuf Ayah 111]
These verses explicitly mention the clarity of the Wahy, effectively destroying the belief that the Deen has left certain matters without clarity and that we should take up other sources besides the Wahy. Allah also tells us that Dhann (speculation, doubt, conjecture) does not bring us to the truth.
Allah said:
“...And indeed, Dhann avails not against the truth at all.”
[Surah Al-Najm Ayah 28]
This proves that it is impossible for the religion to contain any Dhann. To claim otherwise is to claim that the religion contains falsehood since Dhann is not truth. This also means that any Asl (fundamental principle) that is built upon Dhann cannot be utilized in the religion of Allah. Is something truly a foundation of the religion of truth if it is based upon falsehood?
Allah said:
“Do not mix truth with falsehood”
[Surah al-Baqarah Ayah 42]
Under Dhann falls Ra’iy, which is personal subjective opinion or preference. To speak about the religion with one’s Ra’iy is to speak about Allah without knowledge since the religion, and all its rulings, come solely from Allah.
Allah said:
“Say: ‘Tell me, what Allah has sent down to you of provision! And what you have decided to prohibit and allow (from it)?’ Say: ‘Has Allah allowed you to do so, or do you invent a lie against Allah?’. And what will be the supposition of those who invent falsehood about Allah on the Day of Resurrection? Truly, Allah is full of Bounty to mankind, but most of them are ungrateful”
[Surah Yunus Ayah 59-60]
“They said: ‘Do we have any say in the matter?’ Say: ‘Indeed, the matter belongs completely to Allah’”
[Surah Aal-Imran Ayah 154]
“It is not for any believing man or believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a command, to have a choice in their affair. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, then he has strayed into evident misguidance”
[Surah al-Ahzab Ayah 36]
“Say: ‘My Lord has only forbidden immoralities, what is apparent of them and what is concealed, and sin and oppression without right, and that you associate with Allah that for which He has not sent down authority, and that you say about Allah that which you do not know”
[Surah al-A'raf Ayah 33]
“And you uttered with your mouths that of which you had no knowledge and thought it was insignificant while it was, in the sight of Allah, tremendous”
[Surah al-Nur Ayah 15]
This proves that utilizing Ra’iy in the religion of Allah is prohibited and a tremendous matter which should not be taken lightly. The religion of Allah is solely based upon the Wahy and excludes any human addition.
